COVENANT HEALTH FOUNDATION
Founded in 1998 as a part of the merger of St. Mary of the Plains Hospital and Lubbock Methodist Hospital, the Covenant Foundation exists solely to secure philanthropic support for Covenant Health. The Foundation secures this support through the development and stewardship of charitable gifts as well as through creating community awareness of and engagement with the hospital.
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, separate from Covenant Health, Covenant Health Foundation reaches out to the community to secure funding for projects that assist the hospital. We strive to carry on the successful legacies of the St. Mary of the Plains Hospital Foundation and the Lubbock Methodist Hospital Foundation, two organizations that merged in 1998. The need for charitable contributions continues.
Covenant could not continue to offer high-quality care without the hundreds of volunteers and donors who are committed to our Christian mission of healing. The kind individuals who contribute to Covenant Health Foundation provide our doctors and nurses with access to the latest technology and make our life-saving programs possible.
The Foundation raises funds to many efforts at the hospital, including programs and equipment. The Foundation is also raising funds for a $450 million capital improvements project, Keeping the Covenant - Faith and Healing for the Next 100 Years. This campaign is the most significant financial investment since the merger in 1998 of Methodist and St. Mary of the Plains Hospitals.
